Ehsanur Rahman, Ph.D

Dr. Rahman received both his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from BUET. Motivated by a strong interest in sustainable and clean energy technologies, he pursued a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Canada.

During his doctoral studies, Dr. Rahman was honored with the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship—Canada’s most prestigious and competitive doctoral award—recognizing outstanding academic excellence, research potential, and leadership. He also received the International Doctoral Fellowship and the Four Year Doctoral Fellowship from UBC, further underscoring his academic distinction and promise as a researcher. To complement his academic training with hands-on industry experience, he completed a research internship in electrical motor design at Ansys Inc. in Pennsylvania, USA, where he worked on advanced modeling and performance analysis of electrical machines.

Upon completion of his Ph.D., Dr. Rahman was awarded a Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).
